Scripture Scramble Relay

How to play

Split into two teams, and mix the ages.
The leader calls a verse number. The game shuffles that verse’s cards for each team and places them face down.
On “Go!”, each team turns its cards over and puts the words in the right order. The gold card shows where the verse is found.
When a team finishes, everyone on it stands and reads the verse aloud together. The game checks it against the answer sheet.
The first correct team scores 1 point. Then everyone says the verse together once more.

Touch: tap a card to put it in the next empty space. Tap a card in the line to send it back. Press and hold a card to hear it.
Computer: each team has its own keys, so both can race on one keyboard. Eyes on your own cards!

Put the screen at one end of the room. Players take turns running to turn over one card at a time, and the team builds the verse as the cards arrive.
Walk near the computer, keep a tablet flat, and watch out for cables.

Reference Challenge: the leader keeps back the gold reference card. Name the book, chapter and verse for +1 point.
Missing Word: the leader secretly removes one word card. The team must say the missing word for +1 point.
From Memory: after the round, turn the cards face down. Who can say the whole verse?

Verses 1–6 are short, which is perfect for ages 5–8. Verses 7–12 are longer.
Human Verse: give each person one or two cards and have them line up in order holding them. It makes a great family photo!
