How to play

There are two ways to play. Clue cards work for every age, even non-readers. Name tags is for ages 7 and up (younger children can play with a buddy).

Clue cards (all ages)

The phone shuffles the 24 clue cards. The leader reads Clue 1 from the top card, or taps Read it aloud.
Anyone can call out a guess. Each person gets one guess per clue.
No one right? Read Clue 2, then Clue 3. The clues get easier each time.
Tap the name of whoever got it right.

Scoring: right after Clue 1 = 3 points, after Clue 2 = 2 points, after Clue 3 = 1 point.
After each answer, read the reference and share one thing you remember about that person.
Little ones’ rule: on Clue 3, children aged 5–8 get the first chance to answer before grown-ups may guess.
Take turns: the phone goes round, and whoever holds it reads that card and sits out the guessing. Can’t read the answer yet? Tap Whisper it and hold the phone to your ear.

Name tags (ages 7+)

Hold the phone to your forehead with the screen facing out, without looking at it. Everyone else can see who you are.
Ask each person one yes-or-no question.
When you think you know who you are, ask “Am I …?” If you’re right, the others tap Got it.
Stuck? Tap Read a clue and the phone reads you one clue from your clue card.
